Fokker Services Group receives hundreds of quote requests every day (Requests for Quotation (RFQs)) by mail. By automating this process and the RFQs automatically uit read, kwe can automatically produce a onprepare and verzenden if there is enough stock. Because we have 35% of the RFQs now automatic afhanparts, customers get a response faster and we increase the response and conversion rate. The result: higher sales, more structure and less manual work.
The RFQ Automation tool we built monitors the RFQ–mailbox, assesses the type of mail coming in and then processes it automatically. During processing, the relevant information is extracted from the request (think customer name, product, quantity). Next, this information is enriched with current data from the Data Warehouse about inventories, prices and customer information, among other things. Meanwhile, the complex business logic behind this work process is applied by the algorithm. Hereafter generate we automatically create a quote, the “autoquote,” and send it to the customer. Finally, the data is stored in a structured way and displayed in a central work environment for the end users. They can now work from one central location instead of han dmoderately finish the mailbox.
Together with DSL, we experimented with the combination of high-code and low-/no-code within our RFQ process. The power of high-code in Python provided the flexibility to use AI- enabled OCR and LLM models to apply, while the Power Platform provided rapid integration and user-friendly dashboards. This approach improved both efficiency and visibility in our quote processing.
