You know the drill: Christmas is coming and again you’re too late to send Christmas cards. Meanwhile, your parents, Aunt Jannie and your co-workers send you all kinds of GIFs and goofy Christmas movies. But let’s face it: it could be better. More personal.
At Data Science Lab, we thought: why not use AI to create a unique, personalized Christmas card?
To the rescue: our AI Christmas card generator
With our brand new AI Christmas card tool, all you have to do is sit in front of your camera. Take a picture (don’t worry, we don’t store anything!) and let our algorithm do its magic. The hairdresser and makeup are included in the generator. In no time, AI will transform you and your possible Christmas partner – yes, two people fit – into real Christmas heroes: Santa Clauses, Christmas women, and even Christmas children.
The result? A great digital Christmas card that you:

How does it work?
We combine AI components in an agile workflow:
– ComfyUI helps us shape the visual magic.
– This runs smoothly thanks to Modal, with which we deployed the workflow.
– The front end? It is built with Streamlit – simple and accessible
Our GenAI workflow uses:
– The photo you take isn’t stored anywhere, which is nice and secure.
– Everything runs in the Azure cloud, so you can quickly pull out your Christmas card. So you don’t need to be a tech expert; we’ve taken care of everything for you.
Perfect AI, but sometimes with a wink
Let’s face it: AI is great, but not yet perfect. You might notice that sometimes a hand suddenly has seven fingers, or an ear is just a little too Christmassy.
Why is that? This kind of small error is because the AI model tries to recognize patterns and transforms human shapes into a fantasy world. AI models such as SDXL operate on massive amounts of data, but they are not flawless. Still, we find that an extra finger or a slightly surreal Christmas sweater adds just the charm of an AI Christmas card. Right?
