VAR was founded in 1975 by Frits van Amersfoort.
The team has since won 13 national and international championships.

Van Amersfoort Racing is a Dutch racing team active in the step-up classes of Formula 1.
Since 1975 they have been helping young drivers on their way to a successful career in motorsport.
And with success: our own Max Verstappen ‘grew up’ under the wings of Frits van Amersfoort.
Finding such talented drivers is a challenge because, just like on the track, you want to be one step ahead of the competition at all times.
Together we are therefore developing a smart tool in which Van Amersfoort Racing can easily track and compare young drivers.
Will our algorithm succeed in finding the ‘new Max Verstappen’?
