The Floating Farm in Rotterdam is the world’s first floating farm. Its priorities are animal welfare, circularity, sustainability, and innovation. The goal is to produce healthy food in cities, close to consumers. They call this “Transfarmation”. Through our Data For Good label, we contribute to this transfarmation.

The goal-driven data solution
The goal is to gain insights into the feeding process in order to optimize it and ultimately reduce feed waste. Floating Farm advocates for circular farming: a large part of the cows’ diet consists of organic waste streams sourced from the city. Our cows are fed spent grains from several breweries in Rotterdam, bran from mills in Schiedam, grass from nearby sports fields, and potato peels from a local processor.
