Making rail safer with Fiber-Optic Acoustic Sensing
Read moreOur solution,
ProRail’s Datalab is actively working with innovative technology, sensors and data. Together, we explored what Fiber-Optic Acoustic Sensing (FOAS) can do. It uses fibre-optic cables to measure sound waves. We used machine learning and AI to automate processes such as detecting trains, rail components and wheel defects. Our goal? To make the rail network safer and more sustainable.
Want to hear what else is possible with FOAS technology? In an episode of De Databar, we sit down with Cees-Jan Mas from ProRail to discuss it in detail.
