Three lessons from our AI projects
Over two years, we supported dozens of AI projects, from initial exploration to a model that runs every night. Some went exactly as planned; others…
Web scraping is used to extract characteristics from the tasting notes in beer reviews. These characteristics are then coded into categories such as beer style, average score, hop flavours and aromas, bitterness, sweetness, caramel and fruit varieties. This produces a dataset, which is used to build a model for finding the ideal combination of flavours. It is not about the highest-scoring characteristic, but about balance. The results were shared with the brewers at Uiltje, who turned the data analysis into a recipe. Using the right combinations and proportions takes this NEIPA to the next level.
We have written two blog posts about the beer.
