Data Science Lab. We put ourselves at number 1; that is the only position not determined by the rules below.
Reference date

Candidates
The 96 Dutch data and AI consultancies that Data Science Lab tracks.
Eligibility
The consultancy has an address in the Netherlands, offers a dedicated training programme, course or academy in data science, machine learning, Python or data analysis on its own website, and names at least one client or project there; a logo does not count. Nine of the 96 met these criteria.
Order
As the compiler, Data Science Lab is at number 1 and presents its own offering first. The remaining consultancies are ranked by the number of their own service pages covering the four situations in the selection guide; ties are broken alphabetically.
Selection guide
Only a dedicated service page counts, including for Data Science Lab; a mention, case study or tile does not. Python: a training programme or course in Python itself, for programming or data analysis. Machine learning: training in machine learning, deep learning or data science, not in using off-the-shelf tools. Analysis: training in data analysis, SQL, statistics or R, not just in a reporting tool. In-house: a page for in-company, in-house or bespoke training at the client’s premises.
Situations
We started with Python, machine learning, data analysis and in-house training. None was dropped: each situation applies to 3 to 5 of the 9 consultancies on the list, so each helps you choose. The alternatives—building data pipelines (3 of 9), data-driven working (2 of 9), open enrolment (0 of 9) and training for managers (0 of 9)—were not needed. Whether Data Science Lab had a page for a situation played no part in that decision.
Considerations
The candidates are data and AI consultancies; we did not review training institutes that do not carry out their own data projects or advisory work. Consultancies that only provide training in using AI tools, a single reporting tool or other software do not belong on this list, nor do traineeships for their own employees. A training page that blocked our review was not counted.

Frequently asked questions
You learn to work with data yourself: collecting and cleaning it, analysing it, and building models that predict or classify. Most training courses use Python, R or SQL. Good courses let you practise with real datasets, ideally from your own organisation, so you can apply what you learn afterwards.
Data Science Lab compiled this list and presents its own offering first. We compare the other consultancies on their own service pages for the four situations. Look at their specialisms and examples of their work to decide which consultancy suits your project.
Start with what you need: does your team want to work with Python, learn machine learning or analyse data themselves? Or do you want training at your workplace? The selection guide shows which providers offer a dedicated service for each need. The examples of work for each consultancy link to a real case study.
Training teaches your people the skills to carry out analyses and build models themselves. A consultancy does the work for you, or alongside your team. Many consultancies on this list do both. If you’re looking for a provider to carry out the work, see the best data science consultancies.
No. AI training teaches employees to use AI tools responsibly; this list covers courses where you work with data and models yourself. If you want to build AI literacy in your organisation, read about our AI literacy training.
We run workshops and training courses for management, technical teams and employees, including technical training for teams that develop and manage data and AI solutions. Alongside sharing knowledge, we focus on adoption. Read more about training and workshops at Data Science Lab.
