Compiled by
Data Science Lab. We have placed ourselves first; that is the only position that does not follow from the rules below.
Reference date
28 October 2026. We checked the service pages used for the selection guide that day; the other information came from the consultancies’ websites between 26 and 28 October.
Candidates
The 96 Dutch data and AI consultancies that Data Science Lab tracks.
Inclusion criteria
A consultancy must have an address in the Netherlands, offer data analysis as a service on its own website (reports or dashboards alone do not count), and name at least one client or project there; a logo does not count. Of the 96, 36 met these criteria.
Ranking
After Data Science Lab come the 9 consultancies with the most separate service pages covering the four situations in the selection guide. Ties are broken first by the number of pages about outsourcing analysis, then alphabetically. At the cut-off (1 situation), the following made the list, with their number of such pages in brackets: Bain & Company (1), Cloud Primero (1), DataNorth AI (1), Emixa (1) and Infotopics (1). Consultancies with the same score appear alphabetically in the list; in that order, Data Science Lab would be in 10th place.
Selection guide
Only a separate service page counts, including for Data Science Lab; a mention, case study or tile does not. Customer: customer or marketing analysis (not CRM or personalisation). Processes: process mining or process analysis. Web: web analytics and analysis of online behaviour. Self-service: self-service analytics (not training).
Situations
We started with outsourcing analysis, customer and marketing analysis, process analysis, and hiring data analysts. ‘Outsourcing analysis’ was dropped: 28 of the 36 qualifying consultancies have a page for it, as do nearly all of the top ten, so it does not help you choose. ‘Hiring a data analyst’ was dropped because too few consultancies fit: 3 of the 36. ‘Measuring and analysing website behaviour’ (2 of the 36) and ‘Enabling colleagues to analyse data themselves’ (2 of the 36) replaced them. ‘Outsourcing analysis’ now breaks ties. Whether Data Science Lab has a page for a situation played no part in that decision.
Considered
We reviewed large consulting and IT companies; where we could not establish an address or a named client on their websites, we did not count them. Consultancies that only produce reports, only build data infrastructure or only create AI applications, as well as software vendors, do not belong on this list.

Frequently asked questions
A data analytics consultancy finds answers in your data. It brings sources together, analyses customer, process or web data, for example, and turns the findings into decisions. Good consultancies also agree who will keep the figures up to date after delivery and how your colleagues can continue using them independently.
Because we made this list, and we would rather say so ourselves. The other nine are ranked by the number of their own services for the four situations; see the methodology. By that rule, we would be in 10th place. So choose based on your situation, not the ranking: for each consultancy, we explain when it is a better fit than we are.
Start with your situation: do you want to understand your customers and campaigns better, see where processes get stuck, measure what visitors do on your site, or enable colleagues to analyse data themselves? The selection guide shows which consultancies have a dedicated service for each need. The evidence of each consultancy’s work links to a real case study.
Data analytics answers questions using the data you already have: what happened, which customers were involved and in which process. Data science also builds models that predict outcomes or make decisions autonomously. If that is what you need, take a look at the data science consultancies.
Yes. Three of the eligible consultancies have a dedicated page for this, including Datalab and Passionned Group. They are not among these ten: they do not have a dedicated service for any of the four situations in the selection guide. See the methodology.
We bring data from different sources together in one reliable foundation, establish clear, consistent definitions and deliver insights you can use to guide decisions.
