Why we built this,

Every day, employees search for information in SharePoint, Teams, the intranet, manuals and other internal documentation. Because knowledge is spread across different systems, finding the right answer often takes more time than it should.

Experienced colleagues are asked the same questions time and again. At the same time, some of the available knowledge goes unused simply because employees do not know where to find it.

Joost makes internal knowledge accessible through a single AI assistant. Employees ask a question in plain language and get an answer based on the sources available within the organisation.

What you can expect,

One place to access internal knowledge

Joost searches selected internal sources and helps employees find relevant information. They no longer need to search through different folders, channels and systems themselves.

You decide:

  • Which sources Joost can use
  • Which employees have access
  • What information is available to each user
  • When additional checks are needed

Support for everyday knowledge work

As well as answering questions, Joost can help employees process and use information. For example, it can summarise documents or draft an initial version of an email, proposal, memo, analysis or report.

The tasks available depend on how Joost is set up and which sources are connected.

Ask questions about your data

When relevant business data is connected, employees can ask questions without having to build a query or report themselves. Joost turns each question into a suitable analysis and presents the available information in clear language.

Our approach,

  1. Start with a familiar knowledge question

We first look at where employees spend a lot of time searching for information and which questions come up often. We then select a defined set of sources for the first application.

This gives Joost a clear purpose from the start and a manageable amount of information to check for accuracy.

  2. Connect sources and test answers

We make the selected documentation accessible and test Joost using questions from day-to-day work. Together with employees, we assess whether the answers reflect the source information and are useful in their work.

We also define what Joost should do when information is missing or a question falls outside the agreed scope.

  3. Expand with new knowledge and tasks

After the first application, Joost can be expanded to include additional sources, departments or tasks. We take account of access rights, management and responsibility for keeping information up to date.

This allows the assistant to grow with the organisation without having to connect all its knowledge at once.

Not a generic chatbot, but an internal assistant that helps employees find and use knowledge.

The assistant can also help with a range of knowledge and writing tasks, depending on the information and features connected to it.

Frequently asked questions,

Joost can be configured with selected internal documentation and other available knowledge sources. Which sources can be connected depends on your technical environment and intended use. We prefer to start with a manageable set of information that is actively maintained.

Access to internal information must align with the rights and responsibilities within your organisation. Which permissions can be carried over or configured depends on the selected sources and technical environment. We determine this before making information available.

Yes. When the necessary documents or data are available, Joost can help generate analyses and initial drafts of reports. What it can do depends on the quality of the sources and how it is configured. Employees remain responsible for checking the results.

A large volume of information does not automatically make an assistant better. Outdated, duplicate or conflicting documents can instead lead to unclear answers. By starting small, we can check the sources first and test how the assistant works with real user questions.

The connected information needs to stay up to date and have clear owners. You also need to monitor which questions are answered well and where employees run into problems. Technical management and attention to adoption help keep the assistant relevant beyond its initial launch.
