As a Data Engineer at Data Science Lab, you will be involved in data engineering at various organizations and projects. You will work with data scientists and innovation consultants to build end-to-end data solutions.
Together we are responsible for solving complex data issues, or in other words you are never alone.
Because of our variety of clients, every project has a different challenging data issue.
You’ll help your clients establish a data foundation in the Cloud within a variety of domains.
You lay the data foundation for BI, ML and AI applications to create even more value with data.
But there’s more.
You will not only be responsible for building and maintaining ETL Pipelines, but also creating, managing and securing Cloud services through DevOps principles.
At DSL, we also have an automated approach for quickly setting up an engineering platform at our customers.
With 1 push of a button, we set up a basic data platform.
We, as a team, keep standardizing and automating this approach.
With our internal projects, we also always use the latest technologies to test and possibly add to them.
For example, we work with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, DBT, and Terraform, among others.
Oh and your new colleagues also love hackathons to test new ideas together on our Fridays.

About you

Naturally, you find our field very interesting.
In addition, you are someone who is entrepreneurial and eager to take on projects.
Furthermore, we find it important that you:

• Have completed a college or university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering or similar or at least 1 year of work experience as a Data Engineer;
• Have experience writing ETL in Python and/or SQL;
• Have experience with a Cloud platform such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

In addition, you enjoy consultancy and like to sit around the table to help different clients and get everything out of their data.
Because of this, you have good communication skills in Dutch, are willing to travel.
