Eligibility criteria
The consultancy has an address in the Netherlands, offers data or AI professionals for secondment, contract or interim assignments on its own website, and names at least one client or project there; a logo does not count. Thirteen of the 96 met these criteria.
Ranking
As the compiler, Data Science Lab is number 1 and presents its own services first. The remaining consultancies are ranked by how many dedicated service pages they have for the four situations in the selection guide; ties are resolved alphabetically.
Selection guide
Only a dedicated service page counts, including for Data Science Lab; a mention, case study or tile does not. Data engineer: a page offering data engineers, analytics engineers or data platform engineers for secondment, contract or interim assignments. Data scientist: a page offering data scientists, machine learning or AI specialists, or an AI team, for secondment, contract or interim assignments. We started with data engineers, data scientists, data analysts and temporary leadership. None was excluded: each situation matches 3 to 5 of the 10 consultancies on the list, so each helps you choose. The reserve options, starters (0 of the 13) and platform specialists (4 of the 13), were not needed. Whether Data Science Lab had a page for a situation played no part in that decision.
Considered
We also reviewed large consulting and IT firms and general IT staffing agencies. Pages offering IT specialists, developers or interim professionals in general, but not data or AI professionals, did not count. Consultancies that only deliver projects or only recruit for permanent positions do not belong on this list.
