Data Science Lab has operated from Amsterdam since 2016 and builds data warehouses that bring together ERP, CRM and financial data, with historical records and a single definition for each KPI. DSL developed a data warehouse for Zuiver that brings together different sources.

Data Analytics B.V., based in Capelle aan den IJssel, sets up data warehouses, including on Snowflake, and makes sources such as Exact Online, Twinfield, NetSuite and SAP HANA accessible through its own connectors. It designs star schemas and then takes over platform management. Its case studies include Fishtales, Deloitte and Nike.
Amsterdam-based Datalab sets up data warehouses using its own platform, Datalab Studio, and connects sources such as AFAS, Exact, Navision and Nmbrs to the warehouse. Consultants, including specialists in dbt and data modelling, are available for temporary assignments. Its case studies include Anna + Nina, Clingendael and NMVO.
Xebia started in the Netherlands in 2001 and has its Dutch office in Hilversum. It migrates legacy warehouses to the cloud in stages, starting with a separate part of the warehouse, and implements dbt alongside the client’s team. It also builds cloud data platforms and provides training.

Data Digital is a data, analytics and AI company in Eindhoven that began as an app developer. It sets up data warehouses and data platforms, with connectors for sources including AFAS, Exact Online, Twinfield and e-Boekhouden. For BabyManager, it built a BigQuery data warehouse using data from Google Analytics and MongoDB.
Den Bosch-based Emixa implements SAP, Mendix, Siemens and Boomi and has data and analytics consultants. Using Microsoft on SAP, it brings SAP data together with other sources in the Microsoft cloud. It implemented a cloud data warehouse on Azure for VolkerWessels Telecom, Visser & Smit Hanab and VolkerWessels UK.
Infotopics, with offices in Oldenzaal and Houten, describes itself as a full-service data business partner. It sets up Snowflake and offers a separate management and support service for that cloud data warehouse, including performance and cost optimisation. It also provides Tableau, Alteryx and training.
Rotterdam-based Cloud Primero is a technology consultancy for big data, cloud, AI and bespoke applications. For data, it offers a data warehouse as a service, ETL and DataOps, and supports cloud migrations. It built an app and a cloud data warehouse for ClickDrive.

Digital Power describes itself as a pragmatic data and AI consultancy, with offices in Amsterdam and Den Bosch. It sets up data warehouses and data lakes in the cloud and uses a EuroStack Transition Framework to help clients choose a European data stack. It set up a cloud data warehouse for Dedimo.
Follo Agency is a performance marketing agency with an office in Groningen. For marketing data warehousing, it uses FolloEngine, its own stack on Google BigQuery, to bring together data from sources including GA4, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Salesforce, HubSpot and Shopify. It also provides custom-built data models and integrations.

The 96 Dutch data and AI consultancies tracked by Data Science Lab.
Inclusion criteria
The consultancy has an address in the Netherlands, offers data warehouse development on its own website, and names at least one client or project there; a logo does not count. 22 of the 96 met these criteria.
Ranking
After Data Science Lab come the 9 consultancies with the most separate service pages covering the four scenarios in the selection guide. Ties are broken by the number of pages about building a data warehouse, then alphabetically. At the cut-off (0 scenarios), the following were included, with the number of those pages in brackets: Cloud Primero (1), Digital Power (1) and Follo Agency (1). 11 other consultancies had fewer. Within the list, consultancies with the same score are ordered alphabetically; by that order, Data Science Lab would be in fifth place.
Selection guide
Only a separate service page counts, including for Data Science Lab; a mention, case study or tile does not. Replacement: a page about migration, modernisation or replacement that explicitly identifies an existing data warehouse as its subject. ERP integration: a page or connector that brings data from a named ERP or accounting package into a data warehouse or comparable central store. Data model: data modelling with dbt, data vault or a star schema, including through a consultant available for hire. Management: management or support of the data warehouse itself, not IT in general.
Scenarios
We started with replacing an existing data warehouse, connecting ERP or accounting systems, data modelling with dbt or data vault, and managing the data warehouse. No scenario was dropped: each applies to 2 to 5 of the 10 consultancies on the list, so each helps you choose. The reserve scenarios, a real-time data warehouse (0 of 22) and a data warehouse audit (1 of 22), were not needed. Ties are broken by having a dedicated data warehouse page (8 of 22), then alphabetically. Whether Data Science Lab had such a page played no part in that choice.
Also considered
We checked large consulting and IT companies; where we could not establish an address or a named client from their websites, they were not included. Consultancies that mention a data warehouse only in a case study, blog or explanatory article, or that only build a data platform or lakehouse, and software vendors do not belong on this list.
